Heartland Group is a large fruit distribution company based in Nelson, working in partnership with local apple orchards to pick, pack and ship their quality harvest across NZ and the globe. Working with the software developers at Decode, I was tasked with giving their software system UI an overhaul. As the software is quite data-heavy (lots of lovely graphs, tables and gauges), the challenge was to create a visual system that displayed enough data for the end-users in a way that didn’t feel cluttered and simple to navigate. Bright colours and the use of icons helped to make the system feel friendlier and more approachable.
