Decode: Brand Identity & Website
When I first made the move down to Nelson from Auckland in 2016, I was fortunate enough to meet a guy named Dale who (amongst being a commercial craft brewer and airbnb host) ran a software development company called DesignTeam. Keen to make use of my expertise, I was hired by Dale to expand his companies offering to Web and Graphic Design services. Having this expansion, as well as a number of extra hires, meant it was time to relaunch his company and give it a fresh new brand identity. Working closely with Dale on a new business name, we landed on Decode - both a word meaning to convert and interpret information, as well as incorporating the first two letters of the words Develop, Collaborate and Design (which serves as the companies core value proposition). I designed the logo, taking inspiration from the brackets used in software and web development languages. I then brought this brand identity through to the website design, business cards and company values posters.
